Life constantly throws all sorts of things at you. Beautiful things, but also obstacles that you have to overcome to move forward. In many cases, you can do this yourself, or with the help of colleagues, friends or family. Sometimes this is not enough or you feel that there is more in it. Professional support and therapeutic guidance from a coach can help at that moment and accelerate your growth.
Some examples of issues where I can coach you:
Career questions: when you feel stuck in your work.
Communication and relationships: if you want to learn to influence more effectively, to share your ideas more easily and convincingly and to develop (professional/ personal) relationships.
Meaning and freedom: if you want to give more direction to your life, but do not know how to make the choices that really suit you.
Furthermore, I can help you with problems relating to stress, lifestyle, self-confidence and assertiveness.
With over 25 years of experience as a psychologist and coach, I am able to identify qualities and needs at various levels (board, management, operational) in a sharp and targeted manner, but above all to help people develop themselves professionally and personally. The best part of my job as a coach and therapeutic guide is to be able to make an impactful contribution and support growth, above all by 'helping people help themselves'.
My name is Rudolph Huysmans and I have been working as a psychologist and coach for 25 years. My career is guided by my interest in people and behavior, and ways to help people make life more fun. Coaching is an effective tool for this.
I know from experience what it is like to get stuck. But just as much how you can deal with it and learn to use it positively. Like many others, I was looking for certainty, which prevented me from making changes. By eventually turning everything upside down and taking on the adventure - and the uncertainty (wandering around for 3 years in India) - I know what it is like to 'start over'.
With my traveling existence, I not only help on location in the Netherlands, but also like to coach online.

I studied Work and Organizational Psychology at Radboud University in Nijmegen. After that, I worked for many years as an assessment and career psychologist. Part of my work was coaching on various (work-related and personal) topics. This is where I found the most satisfaction: I find it enormously rewarding to see people grow and overcome their own obstacles.
What characterizes me as a coach is my methodical and personal approach. By creating a safe, open and informal atmosphere, I invite people to look critically at themselves and to formulate clear development wishes from there. In the conversations, I jointly analyze causes, backgrounds and context of a certain topic. In doing so, I coordinate expectations and goals, I provide structure and I act as a sounding board. Thinking about relevant situations in real life and practicing between sessions is a proven method to accelerate your growth.
A working method that I also like to use are simulations, where you not only talk about what you want to develop, but also practice and experiment with it (in a safe setting). This helps to increase your insight and skill level, but also offers the opportunity to experience what it feels like to do something that is normally outside your comfort zone.
Depending on your needs, my approach can be organic and primarily tailored to what is required at a specific moment, or clearly structured based on specific coaching methods such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)) or Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). Where appropriate, I also share my own experiences and insights to support you in overcoming obstacles and taking concrete steps in your personal growth.
